Union Springs arson suspect arrested

Arson SuspectThe man wanted for allegedly setting fires to two businesses in Union Springs has been arrested.

The Bullock County Sheriff’s Office tells us that 33-year-old Tommie Cortez Holmes was taken into custody by their deputies.

Holmes is accused of setting fires that destroyed the Union Springs Pharmacy and the La Azteca restaurant in the 200 block of North Prairie Street in downtown Union Springs over the weekend.

Central Alabama CrimeStoppers says an anonymous tip led to his arrest.
