Pickup truck crash in Montgomery County leaves one person dead, another injured

A pickup truck crash has killed an Elmore County man.

Alabama State Troopers say 19-year-old Haedon Hughes of Deatsville was driving the pickup that left the roadway and hit a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

State troopers say 19-year-old Brailyn Jackson of Prattville, a passenger in the truck, was injured and taken to Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery for treatment.

Investigators say the wreck happened at about 6:20AM today on U.S. Highway 231, about 15 miles north of Troy.
