Thousands of people from all over the country continue to pour into Selma to celebrate the annual Bridge Crossing Jubilee.

The Saturday line up of events included an outdoor street festival — and a parade.

“It’s one of my favorite times of the year,” said Selma resident Jasmine Martin.

“I enjoy the parade very much, very much, I always do. The band are definitely my favorite part.”

“Man, just excited to be down here for the 60th, see what’s going on,” said Montgomery City Councilman Cornelius Calhoun.

It’s Carolyn Scott’s first time at the Bridge Crossing Jubilee.

The Atlanta resident and Troy native came with her sisters and brother.

“It’s exciting to be here with my sisters and my brother. And I’m excited about going across the bridge, cause I never walked across the bridge. So, that’s exactly what I want to do,” she said.
