Multiple chances for severe storms through Saturday night
The weather pattern remains volatile across central and south Alabama through Saturday night. A few storms may become strong to severe through Thursday evening, capable of strong winds and large hail. Much of Friday looks mainly dry, warm, and breezy. However, another round of severe storms may materialize Friday night into Saturday morning.
Uncertainty remains if the Friday night round materializes. Storm initiation may not occur, but if it does, tornadoes, damaging wind, and large hail become hazards. The risk is greatest for west Alabama. Severe storms look unlikely east of I-65 Friday night into Saturday morning. The main severe weather concern/event arrives Saturday afternoon through Saturday night.
