Two shot, one killed in Montgomery

Montgomery police are investigating a shooting that left a man dead and another seriously hurt.

Police Lt. David Wise said the shooting happened last night at about 9:21 in the 3500 block of Manley Drive. That location is in a neighborhood just off of Lower Wetumpka Road.

Wise said 25-year-old Samuel Giles was pronounced dead on the scene, while the other male was taken to a hospital with a life-threatening gunshot wound.

No other information was released.
