Adopted Children Reunited With Family in Montgomery

The upheaval in Ukraine has caused violence and tension for many who live there, but now an Alabama couple and four children they adopted amid the violence are safely reunited, and back home in Montgomery.
Montgomery physician Lisa Bundy flew into Atlanta on Friday with her 16 year old daughter Nastia.Â
Her husband, photographer David Bundy, flew from the Ukraine capital of Kiev three weeks ago with their other three adopted children.Â
David Bundy says the family had planned to return together when all four adoptions were completed.Â
After bullets started flying past their apartment near Independence Square, they decided he should leave with the three children whose adoptions had been completed.
Bundy said government offices kept operating despite the violence in the square and the tension with Russia, and his wife was finally able to complete Nastia’s adoption and obtain the paperwork to come back to Montgomery with their daughter.
