War Veteran’s Home is Renovated by Local Charity Group
A Korean war veteran is returned to his childhood home, thanks to the efforts of local volunteers.
Lindsey Kirksey is an 82 year old Korean war veteran.
He’s lived in his home on McKinney Street in Montgomery for almost his entire life, but it was in terrible shape, before some volunteers and donors decided to step in and give back to a man who served our country.
Rebuilding Together Central Alabama volunteers worked for weeks to get the century old house back into good shape.
In the meantime, donors funded a hotel stay for Kirksey, and sunday, with all the work finsihed, he finally got a first look at his home.
