ACTION 8 UPDATE: Dallas County Sheriff says two people are dead in a confirmed EF-3 tornado in Plantersville
ACTION 8 UPDATE: Dallas County Sheriff Mike Granthum said two people have been killed in a confirmed EF-3 tornado in Plantersville.
Plantersville is located in extreme north Dallas County, north of Selma, near the county line of Chilton and Autauga counties.
That would bring the statewide death total to three. Gov. Kay Ivey said a person was killed in Winterboro, which is in Talladega County, southeast of Birmingham.
83-year-old Harry Leon Fain lived in a mobile home on Bob White Road, which is across the street from the old Winterboro High School, which also received damage.
Sheriff Granthum said a few people were injured in that storm. We don’t yet know their conditions.
Damage appears to be extensive in part of that area.
