Storm cleanup continues in Troy

Storm damage cleanup continued Monday in Troy.

The recreational center on Elm Street was one of the hard hit areas in the city.

Hundreds of trees and power lines were downed, along with a few homes damaged from the storm.

Thankfully, no one was injured.

We spoke to a homeowner on Elm Street who returned to his home after this weekend’s severe weather.

“We were in Lafayette, Louisiana fortunately,” said Skylar Meade. “We were out of town like a lot of people are on Spring Break, but it doesn’t make it any better when you walk back up on it. I think in the end people were spared and people can fix stuff you know. Some worse than others, but thankfully around here in Troy, a lot of people are gonna help.”

The National Weather Service has a team in Troy surveying the damage.
