Rain, some storms Sunday night into Monday; Sunshine Tuesday

Sunshine was abundant again for most of Sunday. Temperatures were even warmer than Saturday, with highs near 80°. However, showers and some storms return late Sunday night. While numerous severe thunderstorms were ongoing to our northwest Sunday evening, they likely weaken on approach to our area. Showers and storms may not arrive in our northwestern communities until after midnight.

A few storms may manage to remain strong or severe west of I-65 through 4 AM. Looks like just rain and some thunder east of that. Rain continues into Monday morning, but Monday afternoon trends drier. Temperatures warm into the low and mid 70s with a partly to mostly cloudy sky. Tuesday looks partly to mostly sunny with highs near 80°.

Models hint at a few showers Wednesday as another mainly dry front swings through Alabama. The end of next week looks dry and warm, though clouds may increase Friday. Showers still appear possible next weekend. Rain and some storms may move across Alabama Saturday into Sunday. A few showers may also linger into early next week. Meanwhile, temperatures remain warm with highs in the low 80s.
