ACTION 8 UPDATE: Tractor-trailer truck driver killed in crash on Interstate 85 in Montgomery identified
ACTION 8 UPDATE: Montgomery police have identified the tractor-trailer truck driver who was killed in a wreck on Interstate 85 yesterday.
Montgomery Police Sgt. Tina McGriff told Action 8 News the crash happened at about 8:50 yesterday morning on the southbound side of the interstate near the Ann Street exit.
Officers found the truck laying on the passenger side off of the interstate. Police say the driver, 67-year-old Johnnie Crenshaw of Pascagoula, Mississippi, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Traffic was backed up following the crash, with the police department encouraging drivers to find other routes.
