Weekend rain and storms, stronger storms possible early Monday
Friday started rather sunny, but clouds increased late in the day. It was another warm day, with high temperatures in the low 80s. Friday night looks mostly cloudy but dry and mild, with lows in the low 60s. Rain and storms return to our area this weekend. However, neither Saturday nor Sunday look like complete washouts. Showers and storms remain somewhat scattered each day.
Temperatures may still warm into the low 80s each afternoon. The first batch of rain with some thunder arrives Saturday afternoon. Showers and some storms continue Saturday night into Sunday morning. Sunday afternoon may trend drier. However, another round of storms heads our way late Sunday night. By Monday morning, a line of storms works northwest to southeast across our area.
Some of these storms may be strong to severe, capable mainly of damaging wind gusts. Showers and storms depart our area Monday afternoon. Tuesday looks dry with plenty of sunshine. Isolated showers appear possible Wednesday through Friday. Temperatures trend warmer, with highs in the upper 80s Friday. Rain coverage may remain isolated next weekend too. Temperatures may cool back down Sunday into the following Monday.
