1 dead, 2 injured in Pike County crash

A two-vehicle crash in Pike County has claimed the life of a Brundidge man and injured two others.

The crash occurred around noon Friday on Alabama 125 near the 23 mile marker, approximately seven miles south of Brundidge.

Troopers say 25-year-old Anquavious Walker was fatally injured when the 2014 Chevrloet Impala he was driving collided head-on with a 2002 Toyota 4Runner.

Troopers say Walker was not using a seat belt and was pronounced dead on the scene.

The driver of the 4Runner, a man from Covington, GA, was injured in the crash and taken to Southeast Health in Dothan for treatment.

A 2-year-old juvenile passenger in the Impala was also injured and taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division are investigating the cause of the crash.
