Montgomery County man sentenced to life in prison
A Montgomery County man convicted of killing a man and violently assaulting two others will spend the rest of his life behind bars.
Last month, Lorenzo Rainer was convicted of murder and two counts of second-degree assault.
He has now been sentenced to life without parole for shooting and killing Dana Riley, and received two life sentences for firing a gun and injuring Shane Hill and Kevin Sides.
Prosecutors say in January 2020, Rainer fired his gun at Hill and Sides on two separate days over a dispute about car parts.
A month later, they say Rainer got angry when Riley and his brother-in-law came onto his property to get brake parts and shot at them with an AK-47 style rifle, hitting and killing Riley.
