Montgomery’s Chisholm Community Center undergoes massive renovations
People are now getting to see the big renovations at The Chisholm Community Center in Montgomery.
The newly renovated space includes a new gym floor, basketball goals and ADA-compliant sidewalks. The ribbon was cut in a ceremony yesterday.
It already features a large playing field, playground and a baseball/softball complex.
“I wanted to make sure that the community understood how important they were,” Montgomery Mayor Steven Reed said. “So we wanted to let people know this wasn’t just about the money and their tax dollars. It was about a way of life and to move Montgomery forward.”
The center also has open gym time available for adults in the evenings and on Saturdays.
The Chisholm Community Center is next to the Montgomery Zoo.
