More People Could be Taking Cholesterol Medication
The American Heart Association’s new guidelines for using statins to treat high cholesterol and prevent heart disease are expected to result in about 13 million more Americans taking the drugs.
That’s according to a report in the New England Journal of Medicine which says most of the additional statin users will be over 60 years old.Â
