Additional suspect charged in Forest Hills deadly shooting

Montgomery police have charged an additional suspect in a deadly Forest Hills shooting.

The shooting happened on Friday, April 4 in the 3600 block of Madolyn Lane.

Once officers arrived, they found 17-year-old Zaveon Simpkins dead from a gunshot wound.

Police have charged 19-year-old Christopher Kelly and 18-year-old Christian Kelly, both of Montgomery, with capital murder and first-degree robbery. They are being held in the Montgomery County Detention Facility.

Additionally, police have charged a juvenile male with Capital Murder. The unidentified suspect was taken into custody on April 16 and is also in the Montgomery County Detention Facility.

This was the 15th murder of 2025.
