Rain returns this week, with the best chances through Wednesday

Easter was partly to mostly cloudy, but rain-free again for central and south Alabama. High temperatures ranged from the low to mid 80s. Sunday night remains mostly cloudy and dry with lows in the low 60s. Rain returns to our area with some storms in the mix this week. It looks like the best chances are Monday through Wednesday. Otherwise, the sky remains partly to mostly cloudy each day with high temperatures in the low to mid 80s.

In fact, Monday through Wednesday’s weather almost resembles a summertime pattern, with scattered daytime showers and storms. Rain coverage looks highest each afternoon and evening, with most of the showers or storms fading away each night. Some spots miss out on rain one or more days, while others may see rain each day. It looks like rain coverage becomes more isolated Thursday and Friday. Otherwise, each day looks partly cloudy with highs in the mid 80s.
