Sheriff Mike Granthum says large quantities of crack cocaine — marijuana — and other narcotics — were found during a raid at a house in Selma last week.

“The way he had it packaged and the large amounts of it, it wasn’t for personal use,” said Granthum.

“He was actually selling this to the people of Dallas County.”

Granthum says a drug bust of this size — is likely to have a major impact — on the supply of illegal drugs available in the area.

“Hopefully we’ve put a little dent into that chain,” said Granthum.

“I’m sure somebody’s going to try to pick it up. But we’re going to get them too. If they want to pick up where he left off at, you know, get ready we’ll you know, make him a cell mate.”

McArthur is being held in the Perry County Detention Center — on $4.5 million dollars bond.
