Members of Montgomery United Football Club meet the community

The new Montgomery United Football Club spent time meeting members of the community at Hilltop Public House last night.

The team, formerly known as Alabama FC South, is a semi-pro soccer league champion from last season.

Earlier this year, Tate Dean was appointed as the club’s first head coach. The team is set to kick off its 2025 season in May, and all YMCA of Greater Montgomery members will receive a free ticket to home games.

“We want to meet and greet the fans we want to introduce our players our staff and create this community affair we have players all around the community we have the high school to college all of retired play college and right around the area now so we want to create that community feel in Montgomery starting off with this soccer program,” head coach Tate Dean told Action 8 News.
