Car show raises money for Billingsley Volunteer Fire Department

Excited car fans gathered in Autauga County to admire dozens of unusual and vintage automobiles.

Car lovers of all ages enjoyed checking out the Billingsley Volunteer Fire Department’s 3rd Annual Smoke and Chrome Benefit Car Show.

Car collectors showed off their vintage cars, motorcycles and ATVs. People also enjoyed a fish fry, door prizes, and kids activities

The event also raised awareness for the need for more volunteer firefighters. The money raised will go directly to recruiting volunteers and providing the top-notch training they will need at the fire department.

“It’s a great way to give back to the community,” Billingsley Volunteer Fire Chief Jared Bonebrake told Action 8 News. “We’ve tried to create a family experience with it. We start junior firefighters at 14 and they work their way up. They do all the training with us and everything.”
