Montgomery man dies in city’s latest homicide

Montgomery police are investigating the city’s latest homicide.

Officials say around 2:50 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, officers responded to a local hospital in reference to a person shot.

Once they arrived, they were told that an adult male victim, identified as 19-year-old Josiah Slocum, had died from his life-threatening injuries from a gunshot wound.

It was later determined that the shooting happened in the area of Davis Drive, which is near Norman Bridge Road and East South Boulevard.
