Suspects wanted in robbery of a Lee County gas station
Deputies are searching for the suspects wanted in connection to a robbery of a Lee County gas station.
It happened on around 10:43 p.m. Saturday at the Salem Get N Go in the 900 block of Lee Road 240 in the Salem community.
The clerk told deputies that she was sitting behind the register when two black males wearing hoodies and masks entered the store armed with handguns.
The suspects when went behind the register to demand money.
One of the suspects took the money from the register while the other suspect grabbed cigars and vapes from a shelf.
Both subjects then ran out of the store and around the side of the building. The clerk was not harmed during the robbery.
Lee County Deputies and Investigators were able to locate a trail of stolen items leading from the store to the roadway. Video surveillance from the store was obtained and clearly showed one of the suspects brandishing what appeared to be a silver-colored semi-automatic handgun.
