Man dead in Tuskegee shooting

Tuskegee police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead.

Officers were called around 11:46 p.m. Tuesday to the 2900 block of Davison Street.

Once they arrived, they found an adult male victim with a life-threatening gunshot wound.

The unidentified victim was later pronounced dead on the scene.

Officials say after further investigation,  it was determined that the shooting stemmed from a verbal altercation that
turned physical. Both people involved in the altercation were in a dating relationship.

An adult female, who was located on the scene, was taken into custody.

Police say right now, the shooting is currently being treated as a death investigation.
