Andalusia man arrested for sexual assault involving a minor

An Andalusia man has been arrested for sexual assault involving a minor.

Andalusia police say a 12-year-old was at a restaurant with his family when he went to the restroom where he was approached by an older man, who made inappropriate contact and sexual remarks.

The 12-year-old returned to his family as quickly as possible and notified them of the incident.

After further investigation, 75-year-old Cleo Melvin Bedsole, Jr., was taken into custody Wednesday and placed in the Covington County Jail. He has since been released on a $50,000 bond.
