Man dies after being shot in Alexander City

Alexander City Police say a man has died after he was shot yesterday.

Sgt. Drew Machen told Action 8 News that officers were called to Oak Street West. They found Anthony Darnell Mack, Jr., of Alexander City with several gunshot wounds.

Mack was taken to Russell Medical Center where he was pronounced dead shortly after he arrived.

Machen said the case is still under investigation and no more information is available at this time.
