Montgomery Public Schools holds job fair to fill openings

Montgomery Public Schools is looking for employees for all 50 of its schools and programs.

The school system held a job fair yesterday, searching for teachers, nurses, even security guards.

People who came out got to talk with hiring managers from

different schools and departments.

“We all understand the importance of education and preparing our future citizens,” Stacey Murray from Montgomery Public Schools told Action 8 News. “Some of that is important to some of the attendees who are here.

“There’s been a shift in change in the workforce here in Montgomery, and with education being a priority for people who are looking for either a career change, looking to come in to education and looking to be a part of the MPS family. So, I think it’s a combination of several things that’s happening in Montgomery, across the state and across the country, that’s heightening that interest in education.”
