Date, time announced for IS4S Salute to Veterans Bowl Game in Montgomery

The date and time have been announced for this year’s IS4S Salute to Veterans Bowl game, formerly known as the Camellia Bowl, to be played at Cramton Bowl in Montgomery.

The 12th annual game will be played at 8PM CST Tuesday, December 16. It will be televised by ESPN.

“We are thrilled to once again host the IS4S Salute to Veterans Bowl that places the City of Montgomery in the national spotlight,” IS4S Salute to Veterans Bowl Executive Director Clay Norrell said. “We are excited to build on last year’s success with IS4S, and our other community partners.”

The bowl game was first played on Dec. 20, 2014, when it was the Camellia Bowl. Bowling Green defeated South Alabama 33-28 in the inaugural game.

Last year, the name changed to the IS4S Salute to Veterans Bowl. South Alabama defeated Western Michigan 30-23 in that game.

The IS4S Salute to Veterans Bowl matches team from the Mid-American Conference, Sun Belt Conference and Conference USA.
