Selma non-profit honors Dallas Co. Sheriff’s Office

From the West Alabama Newsroom–

A Selma non-profit organization provides gift cards to the men and women of the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office — to show their appreciation for the work they do.

Waka Dcsogift0609 SotvoWoodmenLife members say the gift is part of an annual project — to honor and thank first responders.

The group donated about a hundred gift and discount cards to everyone at the sheriff’s department.

“You know, we appreciate what they do, protecting our families, you know throughout the year,” said Leith Wilson of Woodmen Life.

“For a group or organization to keep coming back time and time again to show their appreciation, means a lot,” said Sheriff Mike Granthum.

Woodmen-Life donated about $10,000 to community organizations around Dallas County last year.
