Boaters head to the water for a Lake Martin tradition
Hundreds of boaters were on the water this morning for the annual Fourth of July Boat Parade.
The boat parade is a long-standing tradition on the water and it continues to grow every year.
Scores of boats paraded from Kowaliga Marina to Children’s Harbor in a festive and holiday display.
Various prizes were awarded for things like the tallest flag and most patriotic crew.
Lake Martin will cap off the evening with a concert featuring Birmingham’s own Taylor Hicks and a huge fireworks display.
