Rain Chances Increasing For Late Week
Our rain chances continue to creep up a bit as we head into the latter half of the work week. There will be scattered showers and t-storms around each afternoon but not all of us see them. Temps will climb into the lower to mid 90s for highs and heat indices climb to around 100. This will be below heat advisory criteria but hot enough for us to urge caution.
In the meantime, any showers or t-storms that have developed during the afternoon will weaken and die out during the evening hours. We expect a partly cloudy sky with temps only falling into the lower to mid 70s overnight.
Thursday and Friday will reveal a look and feel rather familiar. Hot and humid conditions will be the rule. Scattered showers or t-storms will develop and they will knock the heat down in spots. Unfortunately, not all us will get the heat relief. Temps will manage the lower 90s for highs. It will feel more like 100 when you factor in the humidity.
The upcoming weekend will be split. We see decent chance for showers and t-storms for Saturday. There will continue to be plenty of moisture streaming in to fuel those afternoon t-storms. As a result, temps will have to come down a bit due to clouds and rain activity. Our rain chances will decrease a bit for Sunday. More sunshine will allow temps to climb and we see mid 90s possible again.
