Guthrie’s Chicken coming to River Town Center in Wetumpka

The City of Wetumpka says a well-known chicken finger chain is coming to the new River Town Center.

Mayor Jerry Willis says Guthrie’s Chicken will soon call the shopping center on Coosa River Parkway home.

“We are thrilled to welcome Guthrie’s to Wetumpka,” said Mayor Willis. “Our City Council has continued to work closely with our Economic Development Department to broker deals so that River Town Center continues to grow as a destination for retail, dining, and family-friendly experiences. Guthrie’s is a perfect fit and another exciting addition for our community.”

The chicken finger restaurant joins Tractor Supply Co., NextGen Fun Park and The GOAT Bar & Grill, who recently announced that they will also be coming there.

Construction is set to begin in the Fall of 2025, with plans to open in early 2026. More details on grand opening celebrations will be announced at a later date.
