Woman charged in murder of her roommate in Autauga County

The Autauga County Sheriff’s Office says a woman is in custody in connection to a murder last week.

Autauga County Sheriff Mark Harrell tells Action 8 News that his deputies responded on July 7 to a home on October Drive.

Once they arrived, they found a woman, identified as Teresa Moore, dead from multiple stab wounds.

In addition, her roommate, Patricia Goodson, was also found unconscious in the home from a drug overdose.

Investigators determined that Goodson for the murder and was later arrested after she was released from Prattville Baptist Hospital on Monday.

Goodson is in the Autauga County Metro Jail on no bond pending an Aniah’s Law hearing on July 17.
