Foster Families and Foster Care Support Needed Across the State

Counties across the state of Alabama are in need of qualified foster homes to help children who are experiencing difficult transitions in their lives.
According the Alabama Department of Human Resources there are nearly 6,000 children in foster care in Alabama which is why foster homes are a necessary resource for children in need.
Butler County currently has 15 foster families and more families are needed. That’s why resources like Trinity’s closet are necessary. The closet provides a place for foster parents and children, birth families and social workers to shope free of cost for items ranging from diapers to cookware
Trinity’s closet allows foster parents, social workers and birth families to come in and shop free of charge for items ranging from diapers to cookware.
Although everyone may not be able to foster there are other ways, such as donating your time to the closet to help organize, helping a family with childcare or respite are just a few ways to help.
