Scattered Showers & T-showers Likely Friday
A tropical wave now over Louisiana continues to feed gulf moisture into the state. The circulation around the wave will help trigger periods of showers and t-showers through Friday evening. Our rain chances begin to decrease a bit over the weekend and into early next week.
In the meantime, tonight is looking partly cloudy with temps dropping into the mid 70s for overnight lows. We head into Friday with temps warming through the upper 80s and into into the lower 90s during the afternoon hours. Scattered showers and t-showers are likely and the heat should come down where the showers occur.
At this point, the upcoming weekend is looking hot with scattered showers and storms. High pressure over the gulf will begin taking charge of our weather. Temps will continue to manage the lower 90s for highs. Showers and t-storms activity will continue to knock the heat off in spots.
