DA Robert Turner, Jr. updates Bibb Co. child sex abuse case

An investigation into a child sex abuse case involving minor children — continues in Bibb County tonight.

Bibb County is one of five Alabama counties included in Fourth Judicial Circuit — where Robert Turner, Jr. is the District Attorney.

Action 8 News caught up with Turner at his main office in the Dallas County courthouse. He provided an update to this developing story.

Turner said at least seven people have now been arrested in a case of sex trafficking in Bibb County.

The case involves at least seven minor children. And the some of the parents of the alleged victims — are among those arrested.

“And these people have been accused of using some kids ages 10 and below for sexual related activities for monetary gain,” Turner said.

The investigation remains ongoing — and Turner says more victims and arrests — are possible.
