Better rain chances Thursday through Saturday, still hot and humid
Thursday morning was rather cloudy across central and south Alabama. That held temperatures in the 80s in most locations through midday. However, sunshine may increase in rain-free spots during the afternoon. So temperatures likely warm into the low 90s, with heat indices near 100° Thursday. Showers and storms become scattered about during the afternoon, dropping temperatures in many locations through the evening.
Thursday night becomes mainly dry with a clearing sky. Temperatures fall into the low to mid 70s. Friday looks partly cloudy with high temperatures in the low 90s. Again, showers and storms become scattered about during the afternoon, then fade away during the evening. Saturday also features a decent chance for rain, with high temperatures in the low to mid 90s. However, Sunday’s rain chance looks much lower, with only isolated storms at best and highs in the mid 90s.
Rain coverage remains low next Monday. However, showers and storms may be in greater supply Tuesday through Friday. Although, our last week of July remains hot, with high temperatures in the mid 90s each day. In fact, some locations may reach the upper 90s Monday and Tuesday.
