New information comes to light in 2017 Demopolis cold case

New information has come to light in an unsolved 2017 Demopolis murder case — that could help investigators solve the case.

Waka Demopcc0729 PkgPolice found Shannon Steele shot to death in her apartment on the 1500 block of Queensbury Lane — nearly eight years ago.

Two of her children were inside the apartment when her body was found. One child was four years old and the other was an infant.

Now investigators say there’s new information in the case that could help solve the case.

“And that’s one of the reasons that we’re reaching out to the public asking them bring forward any information that they have no matter what it is. Cause we feel like that we need all the information on this case to help bring it to an end,” said Lt. Paul Johnson.
