City of Greenville mourns the death of assistant city clerk
The City of Greenville has announced the death of Assistant City Clerk Nicki Hunt.
City Hall was closed today to give workers time to remember her life and support each other.
A statement released by the city said:
“Nicki faithfully served our community for many years and was so much more than a dedicated public servant—she was a cherished member of our city family. Known for her warm smile, kind spirit, and joyful personality, Nicki brought light and laughter to City Hall each day. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of working alongside her and by the many residents she served with compassion and pride.”
Hunt’s husband, Jared Hunt, is a lieutenant for the Greenville Police Department.
Police Chief Justin Lovvorn posted this statement on X:
“Please keep the city of Greenville, Nikki’s family and the Greenville Police Department in your prayers during this time of loss and mourning. We have lost a true treasure and a wonderful person.”
Funeral details haven’t yet been announced.
