Heat Advisory Friday, better rain chances and less hot this weekend
Friday afternoon looks very hot again, with high temperatures in the mid 90s and heat indices at or above 105°. A heat advisory continues until 7PM for central Alabama. However, rain coverage looks higher Friday, a trend that continues through the weekend. Showers and storms gradually become scattered about, and linger into the evening. Friday night ultimately becomes mainly dry and partly cloudy with lows in the mid 70s.
Showers and storms become scattered to numerous Saturday and Sunday afternoon. That finally helps to keep the afternoon heat down a bit, with high temperatures in the low 90s Saturday and Sunday. Rain chances look fairly high through next Wednesday, but may fall some Thursday through next weekend. Meanwhile, the heat remains tolerable through the first week of August, with high temperatures in the low 90s.
