Five arrested after two shooting incidents in Chilton County
Five people are charged with two shooting incidents in Chilton County last month.
The sheriff’s office says the shootings happened July 4 and July 9.
The sheriff’s office says the July 9 shooting happened in the Isabella community, where a homeowner returned from work to find their residence had been struck several times by gunfire. Investigators recovered numerous spent casings and projectiles from the scene. The sheriff’s office says a neighbor provided critical evidence by supplying a photograph of the suspect vehicle.
The sheriff’s office says further investigation linked the same suspects to a July 4 shooting in which a residence was fired upon several times while a 12-year-old child was inside.
Here is a list of the suspects and their charges:
Xzavia Stacy – Attempted murder; shooting into an occupied residence; shooting into an unoccupied residence; shooting into an unoccupied vehicle; two counts of shooting from the roadway; criminal mischief 1st degree
Jeremiah Allen – Attempted murder; shooting into an occupied residence; shooting into an unoccupied residence; shooting into an unoccupied vehicle; two counts of shooting from the roadway; criminal mischief 1st degree
Deavion Abercrombie – Attempted murder; shooting into an occupied residence; shooting into an unoccupied vehicle; shooting from the roadway
Jamoryn McNeil – Shooting into an unoccupied residence; shooting from the roadway; criminal mischief 1st degree
Juvenile Suspect – Charges withheld due to age
“These arrests demonstrate our commitment to holding accountable those who endanger our community,” Chilton County Sheriff John Shearon said. “We will continue to work diligently to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents.”
