Continued Hot & Humid For Now

A hot and humid weather pattern is in place and it will stick around for several days this week.  The ole dreaded heat index will range between 100 to 105.  Rain chances are slim through Wednesday but that will change later in the week.

In the meantime, the heat will be the weather story through midweek. High temps will manage the mid 90s but when you factor in the humidity it will feel more like 100 to 105.  An isolated shower or thundershower can’t be ruled out but they will be few in number. Most spots will miss out on any cooling showers.

Looks like a frontal boundary will make a run at the state late week.  The boundary will arrive late Wednesday and hover over the state through Friday.  This weather feature will help enhance our rain chances.  Showers and t-storms will be likely and definitely knock the heat off where they do occur.  High temps should drop back into the upper 80s to lower 90s.  The front will eventually push through and end up along the gulf coast.  A second front will move into the state Sunday.  There are indications this front has enough juice to push all the way through.  We might even receive a fresh batch of dry air behind the frontal system.  This could be rather nice going into the early part of next week.
