Dadeville woman dies in wreck involving train in Opelika

A Dadeville woman has died after being involved in a wreck with a train in Opelika.
Opelika police say just before 3PM yesterday, the car the woman was in was hit by a train at the 8th Street railroad crossing, leaving her trapped inside.
One she was rescued, she was taken to East Alabama Medical Center, then flown to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta where she died.
Police say the woman was 69 years old, but they haven’t released her name.
