ASU Graduates 410 in December Commencement
ASU Graduates 410 in December Commencement .
Students filed into the Dunn-Oliver Acadome with excitement.
Some even had messages on their caps, embracing the journey that has lead to this moment.
Each one with a different path.
Rashad Snell says, “my road has been a long road. A longer journey than most. This is 5 and half years for me…. I’m just ready to get ready for the future and start things now.”
For some graduates, their future is already planned out.
“My next step, I’m trying to be a youth director over sports in a YMCA. I plan on doing that in Texas in about 3 months,” said Trey Adams.
But right now they are soaking up the present with their family and friends.
“It’s just overwhelming the love I got today hearing them yell my name walking across that stage,” said Snell.
ASU President Gwendolyn Boyd says she, too, is proud of the graduates and all they have achieved.
“Just applaud each and every graduate. We are proud of all 410 who received degrees today. And as they prepare to move forward, either to get additional degrees here at Alabama State or other places, we are just honored that they chose ASU,” said Boyd.
