Andrew Body named Alabama State starting quarterback

Alabama State head coach Eddie Robinson has settled his quarterback competition, naming Andrew Body as the starter for Thursday’s season opener against UAB.

The Hornets head to Birmingham to face the Blazers at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

Body started for Alabama State last season. But he got hurt in the first game and missed the rest of the year. He had rushed 15 times for 134 yards, while passing 4-6 for 27 yards.

Now he’s back and ready to lead the team again.

The Hornets will rely on Body’s ability to run and throw as they take on UAB, which went 4-8 last season.
