ACTION 8 UPDATE: Woman injured in shooting at Troy University
Troy University police are investigating a shooting on campus this weekend.
It happened around 9:30 p.m. Saturday near the Trojan Fitness Center.
Once officers arrived, they found a female victim with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to her foot.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment and a safety alert was issued to students.
No word on suspects at this time.
Troy University officials say the campus is not on lock-down and police do not believe there is an ongoing threat to safety.
