Prattville man charged with going to Hoover to have sex with a child

A Prattville man has been arrested in Hoover on a list of charges after police say he had traveled there to have sex with a child.

Court records show that yesterday, 21-year-old Jaylen Lequon Coley went to Hoover for the sole purpose of engaging in sex acts with a 12-year-old girl. Records say he invited the girl into his vehicle for sexual purposes.

Coley is charged with two counts of second-degree sodomy, enticing a child for immoral purposes, second-degree rape and traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act.

He is being held in the Jefferson County Jail on a $87,500 bond.
