Woman arrested on contraband charges at ADOC prison
The Alabama Department of Corrections says a visitor at one of its facilities has been arrested on contraband charges.
ADOC officials say on Sunday, Wendy Strothers was visiting the Elmore Correctional Facility.
During a targeted search, officers found approximately 77 grams of synthetic cathinones and 1.7 grams of suboxone hidden inside her pants.
Strothers is charged with drug trafficking and 2nd degree promoting prison contraband.
Strothers is currently in the Elmore County Jail.
