Woman dead in Opelika stabbing

Opelika police are investigating a stabbing that left one woman dead.

It happened around 10:52 a.m. in the 1000 block of Samford Court. That area is between Fox Run Parkway and Samford Avenue.

Once officers arrived, they found a 34-year-old female with a stab wound.

Officers immediately rendered aid, but the female victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

No word on suspects at this time.
