Troy University marching band invited to perform in 2027 London parade
Troy University’s “Sound of the South” marching band will soon be making its international debut.
The marching band has been invited to participate in London’s 2027 New Year’s Day Parade in Westminster.
Troy University is one of two university bands selected from the United States to participate in the parade.
The annual parade represents one of the most significant international cultural events of the year.
It also offers performance opportunities before a street audience of more than 500,000 spectators and a global audience of up to 350 million viewers.
In addition to the parade, the “Sound of the South” will perform in the Festival Concert Series, which is also held in London.
